For all our Riders, the Landfill has gone to a lot of effort to grade the pathways to the East of the site, open the gate and put a friendly security person to look after it.

One can ride three to four abreast in parts and there is a good stretch for a walk, trot and canter up to the southern gate.

Some of us already utilized this facility over this past weekend where the ground was further softened by the recent rains.

So please support their efforts and give it a try!

They have also graded a pathway up to the top of the landfill and a decent further along. Moving to the north from the Third Street entrance the path narrows a bit – but go and explore.

Please do not go to the West of the site at this stage and when traveling north do not go further than the rise from which you can see the transfer station in the distance.

At some point top soil will be moved from Magic Compost to one of the slopes opposite Roger Price to prepare it for grassing – at this stage trucks will be utilized to move the soil from the Southern Road entrance to the rehabilitated section for a short period of time. We will let you know.

LPEC Introduction

The Linbro Park Equestrian Club was established in1966 and we just celebrated our 40th birthday last year.

The ground from which the Club operates is owned by the Chambers Family of Linbro Park, who have generously allowed the LPEC to run the Club from their grounds.

The club has been run by a voluntary committee for the past 40 years, we have run at a profit for most of the years.

The committee have maintained and up graded the Club over the years, with all the improvements having come from membership fees and show revenue.

Our latest improvements have been:

- The irrigation system for the dressage arenas, generously sponsored by Ryobi Power Tools

- The leveling of the jumping arena.

We have affiliated our club to THS for Dressage and will shortly be affiliating for showing, as well as the jumping side.

We regularly organise clinics and lessons with a variety of equestrian and “horsey” organisations.

The Linbro Park Branch of Pony Club has been run from the Club grounds for the past year.
